Tiger's Nest Hike

Full-day hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest) at 3,120m. Descend and return to hotel. Trek preparation and briefing.

Trek Day 1: Ta Dzong to Jele Dzong

Begin the Druk Path from the National Museum (Ta Dzong) in Paro. Climb steadily through blue pine forest to the campsite near Jele Dzong with views over the Paro valley.

Trek Day 2: Jele Dzong to Jimilangtso

Cross open ridges with dwarf rhododendron. Reach the sacred lake of Jimilangtso, believed to hold giant trout. Camp beside the lake.

Trek Day 3: Jimilangtso to Janye Tso

Trek past a second sacred lake, Janye Tso. Cross through yak pastures with views of snow-capped peaks. Camp in an alpine meadow.

Trek Day 4: Janye Tso to Phume La to Thimphu

Ascend to Phume La pass (4,210m), the highest point. Panoramic views of Jomolhari and Gangkar Puensum (Bhutan's highest unclimbed peak). Long descent through forest to Dodena. Drive to Thimphu.

Thimphu Exploration

Visit Tashichho Dzong, Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma statue, and the National Textile Museum. Afternoon at the weekend market. Farewell dinner.
