Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your luxury hotel in the Thamel district. Meet your expedition leader for a detailed trek briefing over welcome dinner. Gear check and final preparations.
Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding
Early morning scenic flight to Tenzing-Hillary Airport at Lukla (2,860m), one of the world's most dramatic landings. Meet your full trekking crew and begin the trek descending through pine forests along the Dudh Kosi river valley to the village of Phakding.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Cross suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi river, passing through Jorsale and the Sagarmatha National Park entrance. The steep ascent to Namche Bazaar rewards you with the first glimpse of Everest. Arrive at the bustling Sherpa capital nestled in a horseshoe-shaped valley.
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Essential acclimatization day with a hike to the Everest View Hotel at Syangboche (3,880m) for stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and local market. Afternoon at leisure to explore Namche's bakeries and shops.
Trek to Tengboche
Descend to the Dudh Kosi and climb through rhododendron and birch forests to Tengboche, home to the largest monastery in the Khumbu. Afternoon visit to Tengboche Monastery with its ornate interior and sacred Buddhist artifacts. Spectacular sunset views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Nuptse.
Trek to Dingboche
Descend through forest to Deboche, cross the Imja Khola, and follow the valley through Pangboche village — the oldest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu. Continue ascending through scrubby terrain to the wide valley of Dingboche, surrounded by towering peaks including Island Peak and Lhotse.
Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Another vital acclimatization day. Hike to Nagarjun Hill (5,100m) for breathtaking views of Makalu (8,485m), Lhotse, Island Peak, and the Imja Valley. Return to Dingboche for a relaxing afternoon. Your guide will monitor everyone's health and oxygen levels.
Trek to Lobuche
Trek alongside the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier through Dughla and past the moving Chukpo Lhari memorial cairns dedicated to fallen climbers. The trail ascends steadily to Lobuche, a small settlement with dramatic views of Nuptse's enormous south face.
Trek to Gorak Shep, Visit Everest Base Camp
Early departure across the Khumbu Glacier moraine to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Base Camp. After lunch, trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), walking among expedition tents and the towering Khumbu Icefall during climbing season. A profound and emotional achievement.
Kala Patthar Sunrise, Descend to Pheriche
Pre-dawn ascent of Kala Patthar (5,644m) for the most iconic sunrise panorama in the Himalayas — Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Changtse, and Pumori glowing in golden light. Descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast, then continue down the valley to Pheriche for a well-earned rest.
Trek to Tengboche
Retrace your steps through the valley, descending to Pangboche and climbing back to Tengboche. With altitude pressure lifted, enjoy the scenery with fresh eyes. Attend the evening prayer ceremony at Tengboche Monastery if timing permits.
Trek to Namche Bazaar
Descend through rhododendron forests alive with color in spring season. Cross the Dudh Kosi and ascend back to Namche Bazaar. Celebrate your achievement with a farewell dinner and optional visit to one of Namche's renowned bakeries.
Trek to Lukla
Final day of trekking, descending through Jorsale and Phakding to Lukla. Pass through Sagarmatha National Park gate and along the Dudh Kosi valley. Arrival in Lukla for a celebration dinner with your trekking crew.
Fly Lukla to Kathmandu (or Helicopter Option)
Morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (or upgrade to a private helicopter for stunning aerial views of the Himalayan range). Transfer to your luxury hotel. Afternoon free for shopping, spa, or sightseeing in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu Heritage Tour
Private guided tour of Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant with cultural performance.
