Fly to Pokhara, Drive to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga

Morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Private vehicle to Nayapul trailhead (1.5 hours). Begin trekking through terraced rice paddies and villages along the Modi Khola. Climb stone steps to the small village of Tikhedhunga.

Trek to Ghorepani

Climb the famous 3,300 stone steps to Ulleri, a large Magar village. Continue through beautiful oak and rhododendron forest (alive with color in spring) to Nangethanti. Final ascent to Ghorepani, a charming ridge-top village with stunning sunset views of Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and the Annapurna range.

Poon Hill Sunrise, Trek to Tadapani

Wake at 4:30am for the 45-minute climb to Poon Hill (3,210m). Watch a spectacular sunrise as golden light sweeps across Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Machapuchare (6,993m), Manaslu (8,163m), and the entire Himalayan panorama. Return for breakfast, then trek through dense rhododendron forest to Tadapani.

Trek to Ghandruk, Drive to Pokhara

Descend through forest to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk, with its slate-roofed houses and spectacular Annapurna South and Machapuchare views. Visit the Gurung Museum. Continue descending to Kimche or Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.

Pokhara Leisure Day
