Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor circuit. Acclimatization day.
Lhasa Monasteries
Visit Sera Monastery (monk debates), Drepung Monastery, and Norbulingka summer palace. Afternoon free.
Lhasa to Gyantse
Drive over Kamba La pass with Yamdrok Lake views. Cross Karo La glacier pass (5,036m). Arrive Gyantse and visit the Kumbum.
Gyantse to Shigatse
